Werdegang


1999-2006 Studium der Ägyptologie, Ur- und Frühgeschichte und Anthropologie an der Georg-August-Universität Göttingen.

Abschluss mit einer Magisterarbeit mit dem Titel „Ein Brunnen Ramses‘ II in Samana. Untersuchungen zu Typologie und Funktion von Brunnen im ramessidischen Ägypten“.

 

2009-2012 Promotionsstipendium der Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung

 

2014 Promotion im Fach Ägyptologie an der Freien Universität Berlin mit der Arbeit „Die Friedhöfe von Sedment. Materielle und kulturelle Variation im Bestattungswesen des ägyptischen Neuen Reiches“.

 

2015-2017 Senior Research Associate bei UCL Qatar und Field Director des Qantir-Piramesse Projektes.

 

Daneben seit 1999 Teilnahme an verschiedenen Grabungsprojekten in Deutschland und Ägypten, darunter Qantir-Pi-Ramesse seit 2005.
